Upon arrival in the US, we first visited the gigantic Treehouse Brew Co. that sells all their beers on premises. We then headed out to Allagash Brewing Company, specialised in Belgian style beers. Not a bad start to our trip!

Firstday

Then the real work started: at the Brewers Retreat, we met with the brewers and learnt a lot from them already, brewing several types of beer. MiniBrew's Martin and Sean Lawson of Lawson's Finest made a Strong Amber Maple beer, while our brewer Ko teamed up with Vinnie Cilurzo of Russian River Brewing to create a brett saison.
Stay tuned for more updates!

The next day focused on brewing new beers: a cookie IPA for Ko and his team, and a New England DIPA for Martin and his.
We had discussions on various subjects: from barrel projects to big beers and how to huff hops for quality control. At the end of the day, we had an interesting beer tasting dinner.
