Hi MiniBrew Friends!
Last weeks during Christmas and NYE, the team worked hard to get all materials ready for the first assembly of 76 units in total.
We’re stoked it’s coming together and we are happy to introduce you to “Pantone 109” - the first OTB produced MiniBrew. (Pantone 109 is the yellow signal color we introduced in the cleaning update from December that is used to highlights some of the manual cleanable parts of the MiniBrew system). We’re finally at our first build of tools. There are still some builds to go before delivering the product in summer.
In this update, we want to show the first MiniBrew produced in the Off-Tool-Build! Not completely fitted to right colors yet, but the wait is almost over as the final build is coming these weeks.
OTB #1 aka Pantone 109 ;) - the base and top are not spray painted yet. Our Darth Vader keg (mentioned in the last update) isn’t either. Yes, you can trust your own eyes - our factory started the assembling of the tooled products.
A dedicated floor of the current assembling line - This line needs to be updated when we move further to mass production.
Inserting bold on the side of the back frame to make the main assembly easier.
Our custom made 3-way valve to define the flow of the machine.
Our new wooden covers.
First set-up of the sub-assembly line. We’re still learning how to optimise it.
Our co-founder Bart is checking the quality of the individual parts
More mash tuns. Do you like the yellow signal color?
Basic first test for leakage of water - so far looking good!
Some of you may also have noticed the yellow parts - as we introduced in our cleaning update from December. These parts are removable and need some manual cleaning attention - and therefore we marked them yellow. In the upcoming build, we will double check which parts (indicated with the signal color yellow) are absolutely required to be removed for cleaning.
Overall the first sub-assembly of this production run is looking good and we are excited for the upcoming week as the machine will be assembled. We will keep you posted as Bart has more content to share.
#Throwback to our Updated Roadmap
Recently we got several questions of you regarding the shipping time of the MiniBrew, it seems so that a lot of people missed the updated roadmap from our November update (02.11) - so here again.
In short, we are planning on start shipping to early backers in summer and start of the mass production will be around September.
Stay thirsty even in winter times.
Cheers
MiniBrew Team
