First steps prototype, new team members and new office

It’s hard to believe that earlier this summer we launched our prototype at Techcrunch where MiniBrew received an overwhelming response. We’ve already received over one thousand pre-orders from beer lovers around the world. Our progress will continue to get more exciting in the upcoming months, and we’re excited to share this journey with you.

The MiniBrew team’s focus on engineering prototypes and app design research has paid off, bringing you another step closer to being the proud owner of your very own MiniBrew. We’ve successfully condensed all processes; brewing, cooling and yeasting into one machine.

If you don’t like spoilers, skip this picture: Here is a sneak peak of our early stage prototype phase. What’s next? Value engineering & tooling. Translation: Using a copper keg, walnoot wood and make things smaller, more efficient and intelligent.

Our beer recipe database has also taken a step forward. The database will include selections of Lager, Blond, Bock, Double, IPA, Triple, Stout and Porter and Specialty categories. With such a broad range of recipes on the MiniBrew database, you truly have the freedom to 'brew what you want, when you want' with natural ingredients.

Adding new flavour to our team

Adrien Jeanjean

Adrien Jeanjean - Chief Software Developer

Ko Hendriks

Ko Hendriks - Chief Brewer & Supply Chain Manager

This month, two new members have joined the MiniBrew family. Ko Hendriks is our new leading Chief Brewer and handles operations efforts on behalf of MiniBrew. On the side, he is small independent brewer under the name CEAUX. His signature brewing style produces pronounced beers with distinct flavours. We've also brought Adrien JeanJean onboard, as our Chief Software Developer. Besides being an awesome guy, he brews ciders and has won several awards in his line of work for creating dynamic user experiences.

The new guys will help the MiniBrew team increase the number of brewing validation tests, expand our recipe database and shorten the time it takes to get a machine to all your houses, offices and bars. Cheers to that!

Due to our expanding team, we’ve found a new 'lair,' or as most call it, office space, with direct access to the canals. Our space is designed to foster collaboration, maximize brewing and enjoy our end product. We’re thrilled about our new brew wharf experience including our bench outside. We're happy to host you if you're in the Netherlands, Utrecht area. We're based at NieuweGracht 19.

For now, stay thirsty. We'll have more news to share shortly about our upcoming crowdfunding campaign that will go live in the fall. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us via email, social media or comment below. Until next time, don't worry, brew happy.
