MiniBrew Game Plan For The Summer, MiniBrew Beta

Just want to share our game plan for the summer. We’re putting together a lot of moving parts and we've made a tremendous amount of progress, which makes us very happy.

MiniBrew Beta

On June 26th, we had a fantastic moment, we set up our first fully assembled MiniBrew Beta and connected it to our cloud. We brewed multiple recipes through the app. Big Hooray!!

To get there, we’ve worked hard and our hardware engineers spent a large amount of their time assembling the 1st machine.

We are extremely happy with the curved wooden cover. Looks stylish.

If you look closely you will notice we have tweaked the mash tun design slightly in order to craft very heavy brews up to 14%. As for the current Beta machine shown, we plan to calculate how much space is needed to brew a broad range of beers. Based on that we're going to downsize the height of the machine into a slight wider one. Our goal is to create a compact machine, optimize brewing size so you are able to brew the low, standard and the strong beers.

Factory Status

Our founders, Olivier and Bart and MinBrew’s sourcing expert, Steven visited 8 high-end factories in the last month. Right now, we’re selecting the best factory so we can finalize the design and each individual part of the machine, making the first steps to the first factory-made prototype of MiniBrew.

Roadmap

Now that we have completed a machine to work, we're beginning with technical and environmental testing. This mean putting MiniBrew in different settings and spaces to see how the hardware holds. Here a a few test that MiniBrew is undergoing, such as a safety test, technical brew, efficiency brew, drop test. Upcoming months we'll finalize all beta and we are super exctited to let our Beta backers brew.

Updates

Insted of keeping you wondering when we'll polst our next update, we'd like to make a commitment by posting an update an update at least once every two weeks. We're looking forward to share all kind of things, including updated from our factory, preview video's of our Beta, screenshots of the iOS app as they take shape more. We're also posting updates on Instagram, Facebook and in case you missed any updates, you can check the website for an overview.

T-shirt giveaway

Here's your chance to get one of our cool MiniBrew t-shirts that one of our founders was wearing at the Tokyo Craft Beer Festival. You can still smell all the beers he tasted. Just kidding, we'll sent a new one over.

Minibrew Shirt Bart

This one of a kind brewing shirt. Or we should say brewing world t-shirt. The image is made by famous collective of sign painters in Amsterdam

All you have to do is tell us what you're first brew would be (White IPA, funky black porter of a mix of something). Post your answer by sending us a comment on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, with #myfirstminibrew. We choose our favorite answer and give the responder a t-shirt.

That's it for today plenty more to come so stay tuned. Until next time.

Huge thanks!
