MiniBrew Drinktec Booth

O'Zapft is! - Hoppy Oktoberfest Greetings from Munich

Hi MiniBrew Friends,

We are back from the Weizen capital of the world: Munich, where we were exhibiting in a shared booth with Dupont at Drinktec. For those of you who don't know it yet, DrinkTec is the World's Leading Trade Fair for the Beverage and Liquid Food Industry.

It was an intensive week with lots of interesting people from all parts of the world and the beer industry. We also had the opportunity to try tons of undiscovered new flavors. We met some of our current backers, new breweries interested to join our platform and other partners to build up our supply chain. An aftermovie is coming soon, but meanwhile, you can find some pictures below.

Hardware Development

During the last couple of weeks, we were intensively testing our improved MiniBrew, last introduced to you in our last update. We finished some final brew tests (full brew / heavy brew / sparge brew) with very good results in terms of brew efficiency and stability of the brewing process. The 2nd working sample gave similar or even better results than the first one.

For example, heavy brewing, where the maximum load of malt is used, gave an increase in efficiency of 2.5% in comparison to the first working sample. We are also currently analyzing the final brews on various aspects relating to sensors.Adapted CIP (Clean in Place System)
We tested the new CIP container, which works better than the previous model. Now the newest adjustment is being tested, the CIP tablet basket, in order to clean the MiniBrew as thoroughly as possible.

Hop Bag Filter Tests

In order to make the best and clearest beers, it is of utmost importance for the hop filter to separate enough hops and proteins out of the wort. In the last couple of weeks, we were focusing on various tests to optimize and determine the final mash and bag size.

MiniBrew New Team Members

Besides the changes mentioned above - we welcomed two new flavors to our team.

Please meet Dennis (on the right) who will assist Adrien in our software department, Rianne (in the middle) who will dive into various beer brewing experiments and of course our familiar beer brewing scientist Rolf (on the left).

We're Hiring!

We are looking for a new flavor to join our team - one who loves numbers. Are you the Financial Controller ready to join the #beervolution?

As always, thanks for backing us and we are looking forward to your questions.
